Rock-a-bye baby {printable}

I don't know about you, but I find the original version of Rock-a-bye Baby to be somewhat disturbing.  I can't understand why we have always sung a song about a baby falling out of a tree to children.

Some say the song is based on a historical family who lived in a tree and used the the large hollow bow as a cradle to rock their children to sleep.  Others claim it is about Native American practices.  No one actually knows.

Still kinda creepy, though. And I would much rather sing something sweet and comforting to my children to calm them before bed.

I sing my own version to my babies and I have made free printable.

I hope you like it :)
