Why I Became an It Works! Distributor

Hey guys, I've talked a little bit about my business with It Works!Global and I thought it would be good if I filled you in on why I became a distributor and how I came to try the products.

Like you, I had seen  people posting about It Works! on Facebook and was intrigued.  After 3 babies, my mid section needed more than a little help. But I hemmed and hawed about trying a wrap.

Then, a good friend of mine became a distributor and it gave me the push I needed to finally act.  She had such passion for the products and great results from the wraps!  I trusted her word that these products were GOOD.  She answered all my questions and put me at ease.

I tried a full treatment (4 wraps + Defining Gel) over two weeks and I was blown away by the results.  I also tried the Greens and I felt amazing!

I was able to get my pre-baby Corderoy and dress pants up, but not buttoned and I didn't want to waste money on clothes just because of my baby pooch.

After ONE wrap I was able to button my pants and after the full treatment I was wearing them comfortably!

It wasn't long before I was asking about becoming a distributor.  I was constantly talking to friends about my experiences with the products and the company and I thought "I'm always praising this company and products, why aren't I selling them, too?"

So here I am.  I work a full time job that I would love to replace so that I can be home with my children.  I can put my word behind these products because I don't have to "sell" or "push" anything.  The wraps, supplements and skin care are botanically based, are all natural and THEY WORK.  All I have to do is share this company with people and they are automatically drawn to it.

I personally use the Wraps, Defining Gel, Confianza, Greens, Fat Fighters, Thermofit, Preventage, Repairage and Stretch Mark Cream on a regular basis.  I also love our multivitimin, It's Vital and the Lip & Eye Cream.

I want to open this post up to questions and comments. Please feel free to ask questions about the products and the company. I would be happy to address anything on your mind :)

It Works! Greens

Now that I am facing my induction date I am reflecting back on this pregnancy and I think that despite a few issues, this has been my healthiest pregnancy and there are only a few things that I have done differently.  The main thing that I maintained was using my  all time favorite product that It Works! distributes, Greens.  It's a powdered drink mix contains 8 servings of fruits and vegetables plus a probiotic!  Two scoups (or one On The Go packet) in the morning and you are "in the black" for your produce consumption for the day.

I take mine first thing in the morning either in my smoothie, juice or in a glass of water.  I prefer the berry flavored which is sweetened with Stevia, but there is also an orange flavor that is unsweetened and has just hint of citrus.  Put it in juice and you don't taste a thing.  I haven't tried it yet, but I hear mixing a scoup of each is delicious!

The next product is also in the Greens family.  These are the Greens Chews.  While they still contain the plant power that the original Greens contains, the purpose is different, so the formula is as well.

Where Greens focus on detox and alkalization, Greens chews boost your defenses against free radicals with the antioxidant power of 20 cartons of blue berries and supports digestion with prebiotic fiber.

The two products can act alone but are formulated to complimnet one another perfectly.

I often send out little packages like this to people who want to try the Greens and see if they like it before ordering them.  I would be happy to do the same for you!  Email me at JensHealthyFuture [at] gmail[dot]com and I would be happy to answer any questions that you have and/or send out some samples for you to try! (Plus a coupon for the Ultimate Boday Applicator)

If you are looking for a way to get in some extra nutriton or detox, Greens are definitely an easy and great tasting way to do this.  Also, my kids love it and it totally makes me happy to see them enjoy something so good for them, especially when we go through fazes where all the want to do is graze. At least I know they are getting solid nutrition.

How I Became a Blogger {Part 3}

So, while blogging became a necessity for my writing career, it also became simplified.  I don't have an editing schedule full of junk just to keep my numbers up.  I don't write just to write.  All that ever did was boost my rank, nothing else.  Seems like a boosted rank would help, but if your content doesn't have a focus or niche, no one wants to work with you.

I left my Wordpress work behind and started fresh on Blogger with a much easier upkeep and way less headache.  I felt sad, but good a the same time.  It was the right decision at the time and has worked out for me since.

Realizing that my blog is more of a resume/profile to highlight my work was the "aha" moment that I needed.  It focused my work and it also shifted my way of thinking.  I finally, kind of, realized what those other people were talking about when they said that they had created streams of income for themselves.  I started to understand how it could be done without becoming overwhelmed.

My blog is like a pond or lake.  I began creating streams that flow from and to my blog.  It's not necessarily about my blog at all.  Some things aren't even related, but it gives people a place to get to know me in relation to the relationship we are cultivating.

My blog, Local Girl, is much more trafficked than my personal blog, Worthington Lower.  It get more hits and the posts are more about helping people in my area with a problem, ie, planning the weekend, where to by the best produce, where the 4th of July fireworks are being held, etc...  While it doesn't have my personal touch like WL, it is connected to a popular local website that helps drive traffic to me.  I link my personal blog for anyone who  may want to read more about me, but Local Girl is the "money maker" if I were to claim one.

My business through It Works! Global makes more money regularly than any of my blogging.  I struggled for a bit with whether I wanted to link the two at all.  I didn't want my blog to sound "sales-y," but I do believe in and use the products regularly and I believe that you will be better for it if you try them.  They are a large part of my life, so that is why I think it fits.  And other than my sidebar ad, I can count the number of times I have mentioned them on one hand.  I only talk about It Works! if it relates to what I am already writing about, but it gives me the possible outlet for talking about it more if I want.

Affiliate marketing is also a great way to create streams of income.  If you have been here or reading any other blog, you will have noticed the hyperlinks or images that link to products.  For example, I participate in a few ebook bundle sales throughout the year.  These are books that I have purchased or read and I endorse because I think the information could be useful to others like me.  The posts disclose (as by law) that I am endorsing something that I will earn money on at the end.

These are just a few of the things I do to create income.  A few more ideas to come :)

Veggie Menu Plan 6/2/14

Can you believe it's June?!  JUNE?  We are already half way through 2014.  Blows my mind, it really does. So many things have happened this year and yet it feels like it has flown past us.  I don't even remember what my New Years Resolutions were...

There's lots of things going on right now.  Things that I hope will become more than ideas and wishes and that I will be able to share them with you.  I feel like I am going to burst holding all of my secrets in!  I am blessed beyond measure and so many directions are calling us as a family.  It's truly unbelievable.  I know I am rambling and you're like "tell us already!" but I can't *sigh*

yet ;)

You might notice some meat or extra eggs making their way into my menus.  I am still pursuing a plant based diet, but I tend to skimp on the protein.  It is hard to go from believing that only eggs, dairy and meat provide protein adequately to finding all new sources.  I am still searching to replace the animal products, but I am also feeling the lack of protein in my diet.  But, my recipes will easily be vegetarian or vegan by removing the meat/eggs from them.  I have just been adding some fish or chicken here and there and trying to make it the healthiest versions I can find (organic, grass fed, wild, etc...)

I have been on a huge salad kick so bare with me...

These Paleo Cucumber Tuna Boats look adorable and encompass on of my favorite ways to eat tuna - on cucumbers or with lots of veggies.   These make it easy to eat on the go or outside on the deck, which is how my kids prefer to eat now that it is (relatively) warm out.

Paleo Tuna Salad Boats

Chick Pea and Tomato Salad is so delicious and refreshing!  I will be adding cucumber and red peppers to this and maybe some Kalamata Olives if I have any.  The more veggies the better and I love the extra crunch and saltiness!

You could also add white beans instead of chick peas and add some Fetta for yummy Mediterranean salad.

Southwest Black Bean Salad.  If it has "southwest" in the title, I'm pretty much in.

You can bet that I will be eating all of these salads with or on some greens.  Like I said, I love extra  veggies that some crunch...and nutrition!  I also add crusty bread, pita, hummus or crackers on the side for dipping and for some extra heartiness.  Sometimes I make some all natural chicken tenders for the kiddos, but I am happy to say that my kids love salads and veggies so they will go to town on this stuff :)

I also wanted to tell you about a supplement that I am taking called Greens by It Works! Global.  It is an amazing company that sells revolutionary products.  My favorite being the Greens.

I also comes in Berry flavored.  Both the Orange and the Berry are great in water, juice, applesauce and smoothies.  It also doesn't mention that it includes a probiotic!

I take this every morning and sometimes (like right now with this awful summer cold) twice.  I love that I start the day "in the black" as far as my veggies.  I have already consumed my full 8 servings of fruits and vegetables before I've had breakfast and I then everything else I eat is icing on the cake!

Plus, my kids like it!  They don't drink it everyday, but if they aren't feeling well or we see a cold coming on, I give them a half serving in some juice and gives them a little extra defense.  It is such an awesome product!

Have a great week everyone!

10 Things

In the recent months I have shied away from sharing anything very personal.  I was looking back through my blog and I realized that there is nothing about ME, really.

 photo d07170ed-d0b2-4c90-8eec-d0c85aa53d6f_zps7683c895.jpg

You may or may not care, but here are 10 things about me:

1.  I had just celebrated my birthday that week when I married my high school sweet heart at age 22.

2.  My mother, myself and my daughter all share the same birthmark.  It is a small circle on our lower backs that has no pigment.

3.  I love jewelry, shoes, bags and accessories, but you will rarely find me wearing anything outstanding.  During my pregnancies I couldn't stand anything on me and it never really went away.  I am trying to learn how to be fashionable again, but usually look like a mom - I throw on what's clean and I don't give my outfits much thought.

4.  I run 2 side businesses and work full time as a receptionist at a car dealership.  I can be found here and on my other blog, Local Girl, at my Etsy shop and JensHealthyFuture.com, my It Works! Global website.   I desperately want to replace my job as a receptionist with my own business.  I have always seen myself as a business owner who works from home.  I CRAVE the flexibility of working around my family's schedule instead of the other way around.

5.  I have been wearing broken glasses for nearly a full week now and I still haven't had a chance to have them repaired.  It's not a huge priority either.  And this morning, for few brief minutes, I could see without my glasses and I thought that maybe God had blessed me with corrected site.  It must have been an illusion because I am still pretty blind.  But that strengthened my resolve to, eventually, get laser surgery.

6.  I think I might be an Empath...it's weird.  I always knew I was wayyyy over-sensitive, but I ran across an article that described what an Empath is and I took a quiz.  Yep.

7.  I love to be creative, but I hold back quite a bit.  Everyone knows an eccentric artist.  You are picturing them right now.   I think that, if left completely alone with myself, I could absolutely fill that role.

8.  I struggle with friendships because they tend to be draining.  My husband is my very nest friend and I have other friends, but I don't have a best girlfriend.

9.  I gave birth to 3 children in 4 1/2 years.  I was pregnant for 27 of 54 months.  It was long and hard and  totally wrecked my body, but it was infinitely worth it!

10.  I do not like feeling vulnerable or having a valid reason to apologize to someone.  I do it all the time.  I am a people pleaser, not a people person.

Now you might have a better picture of who I am.
